FILTER & PUMP COMPARISONS
Aquaforce 6000 vs 8000 pond pumps
Choosing between these pumps starts with the water you need at the filter or waterfall. Headline flow figures are measured at zero head.
*Standard delivery is included for eligible mainland addresses. The Bioforce 6000 and 9000 require a quote for mainland Scotland. Other excluded destinations require a quote. Check your postcode before payment.
Work out the operating point
Measure the vertical lift from the pond water level to the outlet, then record hose diameter, length and bends. These details help determine the flow you will actually get. Maximum head is not a useful-flow guarantee at that height.
Match the pump to the filter
Check your filter maximum flow before choosing a larger pump. Compare the pump performance curve at your installation height against both the required circulation and the filter limit. Neither of these pump listings includes a pressure filter.
When replacing an older pump
Photograph the rating label and note any revision suffix. Compare the exact manual and connections before reusing fittings. If the old pump worked poorly, check for blocked hose or an unsuitable installation rather than assuming a bigger model will solve the problem.
Ask us to check your shortlist
