POND & PUMP CO.
Cookies & browser storage
How we remember your basket and order status, and your choice about optional Google Analytics.
Basket storage
We save product identifiers and quantities in your browser using localStorage under pond-pump-preview-basket. This remembers your basket between visits on the same browser. It contains no full payment card details and remains until you empty your basket, clear site data or your browser removes it. Blocking storage may prevent your basket from working.
Order status access
When you continue to payment, we save an order identifier and private access token in sessionStorage under pond-pump-live-order. This lets that browser tab retrieve your order status. The token is sent in an authorisation header, not in a URL. Keep it private. Session storage is normally removed when the tab session ends, although browser restore features may retain it. Clearing it removes saved receipt access; contact us for help with your order.
Payments and security
Payments take place on Stripe's secure checkout. Stripe and our hosting services may use essential security, fraud prevention and session technologies to provide the service. See Stripe's cookie policy for its payment-page storage. Owner-only administration also uses an authenticated sign-in session.
Optional Google Analytics
Only after you select Accept analytics do we load Google Analytics and allow its analytics cookies (such as _ga and _ga_RY4QTG1XZS), with a lifetime of up to six months. We measure page visits, product views, basket additions, checkout starts and purchases confirmed by our server when you return to your receipt. We do not send your name, email, delivery address, postcode or private order-access token to Analytics. Query strings and URL fragments are excluded. We do not enable advertising personalisation or Google Signals. Google receives technical information, including browser information and network connection data, when analytics is enabled. See Google’s privacy policy.
Your choice is stored for six months in pond-analytics-choice. If you accept analytics, pond-analytics-purchases remembers recently measured order references for up to 30 days to reduce duplicate purchase events. Rejecting analytics does not affect your basket or payment. Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future measurement and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies; it does not undo information already collected.
